Fitzgibbon Cup/Fresher Football
UCC return to Fitzgibbon Cup action this week when they travel to Galway to face NUIG in their second group B game tomorrow, Thursday 5th February. UCC began their campaign last Thursday in the Mardyke with a comfortable win defeating GMIT 3-19 to 0-08.
Champions in 2012 and 2013, UCC will hope to return to the top table after exiting the competition at the semi final stages last year.
UCC will face UL in the final group game on Tuesday, 10th February in the Mardyke.
Throw in is at 2pm in Dangan, Galway.
Also tomorrow, UCC fresher footballers face DCU in the Fresher A Football Championship Quarter Final. UCC defeated Queen University, Belfast 2-14 to 1-07 in the opening round while DCU easily overcame CIT 6-12 to 1-09.
The game takes place in DCU Sports Grounds with a 2.30pm throw in time.
