Freshers Advance To All Ireland Final
UCC 1-20 Maynooth University 0-11
UCC fresher footballers booked their place in the All Ireland Final with a comfortable win over Maynooth University in Carriganore yesterday. While dominating for most of the game at the WIT Sports Grounds, UCC only led by three at the break, 0-7 to 0-4. However, they pushed on superbly with a succession of unanswered points and a goal midway through the half to run out easy winners. UCC now face UCD in the final next week where they will hope to claim their first freshers title in almost 20 years which they last won in the 1995/96 season.
